Frostmourne Replica Auction Closed – Highest big reaches $20.700! A few days ago the Frostmourne Replica Auction has been closed, and the two highest bidders were respectively…$20,700 and $20,600 ! The 3rd bid only reached the ridiculous amount of $12,000. I personally find it a bit overpriced for a sword, even if it’s Frostmourne, but that’s probably because I’m a hunter and I don’t really use my melee weapons right?

Norwegian boy outthinks angry moose with Warcraft skillz
Posted by Cory Doctorow , December 6, 2007 10:48 AM | permalink
A 12 year old Norwegian boy reportedly defended himself and his little sister from a moose/elk attack by employing techniques he learned while attaining level 30 in World of Warcraft: In the article he describes how he first yelled at the moose, distracting it so his sister got away, then when he got attacked and the animal stood over him he feigned death. “Just like you learn at level 30 in World of Warcraft.” Link to Swedish article Link to English commentary
Beta site activated in Europe
Remember yesterday’s news about http://beta.worldofwarcraft.com/ being “activated” and showing a 403 “Forbidden” error instead of the usual “404” Page not found? Well, it looks like things are moving fast because http://beta.wow-europe.com/ has been activated as well this morning! It definitely looks like Blizzard is getting prepared for something.

US- Proudmoore first realm to reach Phase 3
US-Proudmoore players are the first to reach the Phase 3 of the offensive on Quel’Danas! This will let them rebuild the anvil and access the new heroic badges rewards! Congratulations to them. Quote from : Drysc (Source) Watching the realm progress and wanted to give a shout out to all the Proudmoorians and their success thus far in taking back Quel’Danas! The Shattered Sun Offensive is surely impressed by your efforts.
Quel’Danas offensive progressing – Impact of daily quests
How many daily quests do you need to complete a % of the offensive? A lot according to Drysc. He also talked once again about the unlocking of the Anvil, this is the last phase needed to unlock the new heroic badge rewards. Quote from : Drysc (Source) We’re not releasing specific information about unlock times, turn-ins, etc. but to give a vague estimate…hundreds and hundreds per %. The Armory takes about fine times as many turn-ins to capture compared to the Sanctum. Remember, only the NPC’s that show your percentage of completion give quests that count towards unlocking…whatever it is they say they’re trying to capture/build. Badge Vendor comes with the Anvil, which isn’t available to build until after the Armory is captured. Just like the portal is an “addition” to the sanctum, the Anvil is added to the Armory once it’s been captured through a separate daily quest.
Have you reached a point where WoW doesn’t excite you anymore? Does it feel more like a “job” to you instead of entertainment?
